I think that something to keep in mind as times get 'sportier' is that, certainly initially, the individuals who say "No" are going to be vilified & demonized in main-stream accounts of these things. Someone will get jammed up by an ex- mother-in-law twice removed & find themselves at the wrong end of one of these no-due-process "red flag" laws, and say "No." Someone will get ratted out by a flannel-shirted trap-shooter at the range for having an evil 30-round magazine, there will be a visit, and they will say "No."
So it's important to understand the terrain, especially when we know that
reporting as it's done these days relies on spellcheck and zero understanding, where more than 2 firearms is an "Arsenal!"
and more than a brick of .22 LR is a "massive stockpile!"
Until the feelzgood crowd starts seeing some personal consequences as a result of their actions, this is only the beginning. All the diversity mongers, and soy-boys and "genteel gentlemen" and youngsters with ethnic studies degrees on the town councils are just another echo chamber. As a sage blogger recently wrote: "Diversity is Stockholm Syndrome writ large." Until they see the potential for torches & pitchforks, they'll continue to think they did the right thing.
So, not caring whether the following is gender-inclusive, some folks in Boulder had better "man up."
