Brother I served with (and annoyed with my proofing of his Holy Brygada history manuscript) advises me that "north of 5000 block (Lawrence) or so on Milwaukee Avenue, into Niles" is some good-to-go area with culinary delights & shops. Think of it as not-so-obtrusive version of Chinatown,
only Polish.
