Hello, I'm 23 and a welder from Ohio dealing with mainly aluminum air brake reservoirs. I took time off work to backpack the Appalachian Trail, which reinvigorated my dream to join the military.

I wanted to enlist at the age of 18, pursuing Airborne and possibly Rangers, after experiencing the army. At the time my recruiter assured me I would be ineligible considering I'm partially red / green colorblind. I was dissapointed and simply stopped researching and moved on.

I've always been fascinated with other cultures and languages. I'm now pursuing to enlist as an 18x. I've had LASIK and also my two extensor tendons to my index finger reconnected. Otherwise no major injuries. I am going to do my best to overcome the obstacles for an opportunity in the military.

Thanks for the forum and everyone's service. This site has been a wealth of information and great opportunity to read first hand opinions and perspectives.
