I've been lurking around this website and a few others for the past year reading up on as much info as possible. I just ETS'd from the Air Force Reserves in January and for the last year and a half, I have been trying to cross over to Army AD (specifically either Intel or SF). It seems that a lot of the times, recruiters hear the words "prior service" and aren't very motivated to help. Well after 1.5 years and after talking to several recruiters, I finally found one that would help me out. Yesterday I had the privilege of going back through MEPS
and I was able to secure an 18x slot. I've got a ship date to go to BCT in July.
This site has been an outstanding source of knowledge, whether it be on suggested PT or the mental state necessary to succeed, I have found at least one thread on it.
I look forward to taking in as much info as I can from y'all and will keep focusing on my first target at hand.
