I've been scrubbing this site for knowledge for the last couple weeks and I cannot get enough.
I am Active Duty USAF on a 6 year contract with 4 down come March. I was selected for promotion to E5 with a line number for 2016 but after reading the prior service business rules for 18X I'm wrestling with hoping for a determination or staying E4. The pay would be nice with two kids but I'm willing to do what I need to. My wife is 100 percent supportive of my goal.
For some backround, I'm 23 but I've spent half of my life overseas. I grew up in Mexico, Chile and the PI. I've spent at least 6 months on four of the seven continents and picked up some language skills along the way. My stateside home is in the Ozarks and that means loving the wilderness and all it has to offer.
I look forward to reading more here and fighting for that 18X contract and what follows when the time comes. In the meantime, more PT.
