Due to the design of my truck mounting it at the normal location put it way too high and it was a chore drawing it and not getting caught up by the steering column. Just to the right of the steering wheel was another location that just fit perfect. Pic is not my truck but rather the standard mounting location.

I need something like that, but it has to lock. Like a gunvault sort of thing that installs in a truck. I found one company that makes this sort of thing, but it is in GA and they don't ship kits.
