I've said it before, but it's worth repeating - China's actions in the SCS may yet drag us into a major regional war with them. We may not want it, but they sure do. The PLA really, really wants to bloody the US Military in open battle so that they can assume the mantle of the world's leading power. This whole fiasco over in that area is ripe for an unintended oopsie on someone's part.
