This is, IMHO, probably the best solution.
If you have the spare time (lol), kydex work is easy to learn, and affordable, (and enjoyable work). Kydex is cheap, and mostly all you need is a toaster oven or electric griddle, a kydex press, which is easy to make yourself, and a small drill press. It's a fun and profitable hobby.
I concur with TR, on the resheathing. One is the optimal number of anuses for a human to own.
