I did pick up a used flash cage, kinda like a 50 cal bird cage.. I may get the barrel threaded and give it a try..

I can not see where you are going to gain much resistance with a flash hider and I agree that where as a brake will do a lot in the way of recoil, you do trade off the felt recoil for sound and even the gas pressure coming toward you. There are some that do well with a perpendicular path. I have seen them on a lot of AI weapons.

If you are going to use the weapon primarily for hunting, most states do not allow suppressors to be used unfortunately. I do not know what you are hunting with that caliber, but, DAMN!!! Other than the hunting issue, I would strongly advise a can, you will NEVER look back and will most likely look to suppress everything you own. The current technology is quite impressive.

I really have been turned on to the 6mm Creedmore for semi-auto apps. Louis Cockern is employed by our parent company and holds the world's record for the longest shot ever recorded at over 3000 yards! He was a member of the Navy Shooting Team and was assigned to Crane as I understand it. He talked me out of my NATO only mindset in about 5 minutes, but, they rising prices of ammo across the board left no argument to hold out.

The UK pushed for the 6mm before Winchester got the contract. Even today the game is rigged to keep the old money at the trough and I can say THAT with authority.

You know what you want and why at the end of the day, I am just throwing things out there. I have loved weapons my entire life and can talk about them all day long. I do not know everything and I learn something new everyday. That is probably the best reason I had to join the forum, the collective experience is quite staggering.
