They used to be good friends of Israel.
Then Turkey started a long slide into becoming an Islamic theocracy, and the Israelis intervened to seize a weapons shipment bound for the Palestinians on a Turkish civilian vessel.
For some reason, this inflamed the Turk's delicate sensitivities, and now they like the Izzys about as much as they like the Greeks.
No doubt, the Turks see the terrorists as the Armenians and Kurds, and the Palestinians are the freedom fighters.
I do find it troubling how quickly we will sell out our allies these days. No doubt that this sends a message to friend and foe alike.
