The rifles are worth more without the import stamp, but the ATF will require the weapons to have them.
When Blue Sky was importing them from the Koreans, the import stamps were on the barrel and were initially very light. The ATF told them that they needed to be a little deeper.
Blue Sky sent word to the Koreans that this was unsat, and they started pressing the importer data into the barrel with a multi-ton press.
To the point that in most cases, the barrels were bent and in some cases, they were no longer even round.
