If you want to narrow down the posibilities, make yourself a circular fence of square reinforcing steel, the 3"-4"-5"-6" variety and staked down so that it can't be tipped over. It should be 4'-5' tall and about 10' in diameter. Place a water pail and a goat in it . Check it every morning and evening. If the goat is gone, it's a Mountain Lion!! Nothing else can get over the fence and carry the goat out over it!!
