GORUCK anyone?
I just completed a GORUCK challenge in San Francisco on the weekend of Nov. 19th (class 086). In my opinion, the challenge was more difficult than I expected it to be. The combination of steady rain, cold weather, heavy packs, and fast pace rucking put my body through the ringer. Besides the obvious physical demands of the challenge, I felt that it put my mind to the test as well – especially in the last two hours with all my energy spent. Jason (GORUCK founder) reminded all of us before we started out on our journey that crossfit/gym jones/whatever would only take us so far, our minds would have to take us the rest of the way. He was right.
