- Secure and serve the population.
- Exercise initiative.
- Help Afghans build accountable governance.
- Help confront the culture of impunity.
- Fight hard and fight with discipline.
- Live among the people.
- Empower subordinates.
- Pursue the enemy relentlessly.
- Identify corrupt officials.
- Foster lasting solutions.
- Hold what we secure.
- Walk.
- Money is ammunition; don't put it in the wrong hands.
- Act as one team.
- Be a good guest.
- Be first with the truth.
- Win the battle of wits.
- Partner with the Afghan security forces.
- Maintain continuity through unit transitions.
- Consult and build relationships, but not just with those who seek us out.
- Fight the information war aggressively.
- Manage expectations.
- Promote local reintegration.
