Damn Richard, stop confusing me with facts!!!
Also a problem with 1st and 46th was that the Japanese govt did not want combat troops to be deployed directly from their soil. That meant a stop in the Philipines and flash change or a stop in Lopuria and a Flash change. Even though 46th was officially 1st it could not be acknowledged with the Japanese. Open secret so to speak.
Atleast taht is what my old memory remembers while chnaging flashes in various locations.
