My first POW/MIA bracelet was picked up in the BX in Ramstein in 1970 or 1971. I don't remember the name, an Air Force pilot lost over SEA. I was 7 years old. About two years later my dad showed me an article in the paper about a POW coming home...it was the same guy. I wrote him a letter thanking him for his service and welcoming him back to the states, and enclosed my bracelet.

The names from this thread bring back many memories...and I would add the names of Chad Gonsalves and Shawn McCloskey to the list. Both were outstanding teammates...both taken too soon and too young.
