It really is a solid platform. I have the piston version, and decided to see how long I could go without cleaning it ... Got nervous after nearly 1200 rounds and gave it a good scouring last night. Didn't realize how dirty my Fiocchi ammo had been firing! Despite the filth coating the bolt assembly and extractor (and the rest of the BCG to a lesser extent), I never had a single malfunction of any kind, and am confident that it would have continued to blast for some time. Also never gets very hot.

I'd eventually like to get the 12" piston barrel, as it is my only other choice unless I purchase a standard BCG, but there are too many other toys I am coveting right now, so it and the requisite NFA stamp will have to wait.
