some of the tac-team guys and various gun-gomers were discussing the shortcomings of the ACOG since most police engagements are so short range. They have been using some of the Leupold CQ/Ts but they aren't a very good solution for needing magnification sometimes and close-up sometimes too without having a lot of lead time - whatever is in the car is what gets deployed at short notice. might be a perimeter gun, might be on the entry team for a hasty kind of situation.
I guess you have to be careful about torquing those screws down on the ring... have they looked at putting a second ring on it farther forward? Never mind, I'll just point them at this and have them give JP a call.
