You didn't answer the question.
The question was "...are we to conclude you believe the official position that Islam is a 'Great Religion that has been hijacked by extremists' and a 'Religion of Peace?'"

Based upon my personal experiences throughout my lifetime and studies, my answer is exactly what I believe about all of the so-called 'Great' religions - including Islam - and people can conclude what they may.

I can see that Beck just pushes your buttons --- But, The Huffington Post is the most vile, pernicious web site on the Internet.
The HuffPo - as with all such sources - must be 'mined' for the validity of its content and to not do so is to limit one's access to information. I read all sorts of sources in forming an opinion - the MSM, sites such as HuffPo and American Thinker and Salon, personal blogs such as VDH's Private Papers, YouTube, edu sites, postings here in PS.Com, etc.

In this instance, HuffPo was cited as a reference only in that it contained the video imbed of Glenn Beck on Fox News performing in a way which is typical of his ilk and I believe is the antithesis of 'supporting' our soldiers and nation. I cited HuffPo in another thread on Glenn Beck in that it contained the actual words and links to the on-going accusations being made against and by Mr Beck - the 'sources' of the arguments vs somebody else's interpolation of the debate.

My greatest beef with Mr Beck is that he is a charlatan of the worst sort, masquerading with great aplomb as a self-educated intellectual who people listen to and cite in the same manner as a Charles Krauthammer or a Victor Davis Hanson - and, to me, that makes Mr Beck a far more dangerous man than he and many others seem to have the ability to recognize.

However, YMMV.
