First, I have several friends in the US armed forces and just the other day while discussing my options with a friend of mine who recently completed 6 years in an airborne unit he mentioned the following to me: "Yeah you can go special forces if you really want to, but rangers are bad a**, I mean those guys are tough." Now, I don't necessarily want to go in with a Ranger contract, but why would people think that Rangers (which is much easier to become a part of than SF) would be tougher than people who have made it through the Q course?
