Sunni make up roughly 80-90% of all Moslems.
Another point to consider is that old literature from Al-Azhar University pre-dates Saudi oil money (wahhabi influence), and Al-Azhar University is the oldest of all universities in the Moslem world. It was established in 971 A.D. by the Fatimid (Shiite) dynasty.
