Very comforting to know that the U.S. produces warriors like this.
My 14 yo has read of Col. Howard (Plaster's book) and I think it actually changed him in some positive ways. He talks about Howard to the other scouts around the campfire on a regular basis as a teambuilding tool.
How many of Howard's stature have not been revealed yet?
