For those who do not know, RSS feeds allow a reader, such as Outlook 2007 or other products to query the site at regular intervals and download the content. You often do not get pictures, but you do get either the topic title or title and content delivered to you. So, as often as you get email, you can query various websites for new content without having to open the browser and go to each site.
Internet/mail usage was not overly-monitored at my last place of employ so I was able to subscribe to 20 or so RSS feeds which were delivered to Outlook. When I had a minute or two here or there, I would open the various folders and look at new topics which were of interest.
