Cant see why anyone would feel that way. With waters you just plop your paint onto a wet rag paper and wait till its done working, then there ya are, nothing to it.

Acrylics are basically the same. You just put some colors on the canvas, push it around with a brush till it looks good and then you call it finished.

Seriously it is the artist who has mastered the oil painting medium that most impresses me. Particularly those that choose to render their painting in the surrealistic vein. THAT takes artistic talent and patience.
