In the spirit of using the search function...and reviving old threads...

I wonder which mods might be appropriate for a G-17 for CCW.

It appears that an aluminum trigger, titanium striker, titanium safety plunger, and 3.5 pound connector are desirable.

However, since 5 years have passed, I wonder if the list has changed. With the exception of the popular 1911 mod, what mods are best for the shooter with modest abilities?

Also...does a reduced trigger pull represent a safety risk for someone not as well trained as most on this forum? Is it too light for the less-skilled user?

Should a Bar-Sto stainless uncompensated barrel be added? Is a stainless or tungsten guide rod worthwhile?
