There are no markings (no SN) on the gun other than the photo I posted. It has an octagonal barrel. The trigger must be pushed forward when the hammer is cocked, it's the only way to cock it. It looks to be somewhere around a .250 cal barrel.

Liege, Belgium manufactured Flobert single-shot lifting block rifle with a black powder (and possibly a smokeless powder) proof, later part of 1852-1893.
Could be a Flobert 6mm Rimfire, though the only way to tell for sure, without further markings, will be to cast the chamber and measure it.
