This thread had serious influence on my thinking.
Every day carry:
- Clip knife, one-hand opener w/half-serrated 3-inch blade
- Money clip w/card holder ($20-100, ID, CCW, 2 credit cards, ATM card, DOT card, library card, gun club card, grocery store discount card)
- BUG (except at work, it's against company policy

)
- Cell phone
- Mini-flashlight (high-intensity, narrow-beam)
- Car keys
When traveling out of town (and not on the job)
- Colt Delta w/ 1 or 2 extra mags, depending on carry mode
Always have a small fanny-pack in the car nearby, or on me if away from the car for significant time/distance.
Various contents are sometimes on my person depending on circumstances.
Contents:
- Swiss army knife on a key 'biner (huntsman)
- Wide beam, low-intensity, high-endurance mini-flashlight
- Spare batteries for narrow-beam flashlight
- Lighter
- 3 square ft. t-shirt cotton
- 5 ft duct tape
- 16 GB Flash drive
- Key 'biner w/ various sets of keys
- Chewing gum
- Small notebook
- Pen
Thanks for the thread and ideas.
EDC will likely be an evolving process.
