Intro
Hello All,
My name is Thomas. I am a senior at the George Washington University in Washington DC. I will graduate in the fall of 2009. Right now I plan to go abroad for 6 months or so to work and/or study (moat likely Jordan or Georgia among others), and after that I am considering enlisting in the 18x program.
I used to be in NROTC and after my first summer cruise I realized that I didn't want to spend my military life on a boat. I got out to explore better options and all roads have lead me to SF.
I have some SEAL friends who are trying to convince me to go to BUD/s instead. My attraction to SF over SEAL is that you guys seem to focus more on FID and working with the locals rather than just door kicking (not that door kicking isn't fun). I am also really interested in the cultural and language learning opportunities of being in SF.
I am hear to mostly read and gather information. I doubt I will post too often; although, that may change once I get closer to (a) making a more concrete decision and (b) shipping out.
