I lived through the Carter era, it was not pretty.

God Bless America, we are all going to need it!

Well said, sir. To be honest, as the results poured in last night, I felt myself wanting to stand and sing that song - "God Bless America"!

It was during the administration of Carter when my 12th Group ODA got the message that before we embarked on ANY kind of "desert training" we were to complete many forms, get the training site approved, and jump through tons of hoops - while having little money to do anything, outside of team funds. Our Det Cdr asked, since we were located in Phoenix, AZ, if that meant we were to remain inside the team room at all times. No reply.
