PA National Guard seems to be sold on FP-10. About 4 yrs ago I asked a friendly PA NG Supply SGT if he had any CLP. His reply was,"How much do you want?" He explained some fishy-sounding story about how a SOU msg (the PA NG) suspended all use of CLP because it was considered a HAZMAT. I asked what they used instead and he said FP-10 was the authorized stuff now. I took many gallons of CLP from him chuckling all the way home. I also took a qt bottle of his FP-10 and tried it out. As a lube, it works as well as CLP. As a bore cleaner, I didn't get the same solvent action that CLP has. I also used it on the moving parts of my mobile simulator systems trailer doors/hinges and found it washes off in the rain rather easily. CLP hangs in there through the weather. Unfortunately, I suspect some retired Col. talked the NGB into this stuff. Never got the straight scoop from any of the NG units in PA, but to this day, you'll still find it in PA NG POL lockers...
