I tried 5 different magazines and several different brands of ammo to no avail; I would get missfeeds/no feeds randomly. I had reported it to the dealer as soon as it started happening and left it with their gunsmith for evaluation. They couldn't find the problem. (There is disscussion on the net about this problem). Anyway, they ended up taking it back after I raised hell.

So instead of paying the restocking fee I purchased a used XD9 for $300. I've been shooting it for a couple months now and wonder why I didn't get the XD9 in the first place.

So far I've run over 750 rounds through it with no malfunctions. All it needs now is new sites.
Based on your report, it could be that you were using 9mm ammo in a .40 S&W weapon, but that is just my guess.
