In between classes about a year and a half ago, I pulled a detail at a range where guys who know about these sorts of things work (sometimes the guy who cleans up needs a clearance, eh?) and the SFC running us showed us his HK416. It looked brand new and nearly spotless and I asked how he liked it. He said he had had it for a couple of months and had put about 5,000 rounds through it without cleaning it as part of a trial for HK. Said he hadn't had one problem with it. I didn't get to shoot it, though we did get to take advantage of the rest of the arsenal laid out for the day. . .
Sometimes when you're voluntold to do a detail, it ain't such a bad thing
