When he's speaking to the media he's speaking to his own domestic politics. Maybe I'm being too generous but the tone I get from his quotes are more frustration than cluelessness.

Public comments today are no longer solely for domestic consumption, the enemy has global media outlets for any comments that our own MSM does not pick-up on and dissect publicly. What do you think Al Jazeera spun these comments to mean?
