well, i was in the 307th Engr. Battalion when we got the maroon beret...initially, we wore the unit crest on a beret, as there was no flash yet...the first guys in the division to wear flashes on their berets were DIVARTY...now i'm not saying that the flash was later artillery red, but in the summer of 1973, DIVARTY guys i knew bought 7th Group flashes at the PX...
