I've used saddle soap on mine, didn't seem to damage the color. The Kiwi eraser bar and brush have brought them back from everything I've thrown at 'em, although I haven't tried the neatsfoot oil & won't. Getting them wet & walking them dry at 30th AG got them plenty soft for me.
