Thanks for the pictures, very nice tools, My shorty is a 7 1/2 barrel. Then I have a 16 incher. I was laughing at the bayonet lug on the shorty and a friend said, "there are flash lights that will mount on them."

I am not sure if I like the flat tops, I am use to holding the rifle lower and I like to keep my head up. I thought of building one for my daughter for deer season, biggest reason she has a short reach. I like the halo sight is seems at the right high for me. I like keeping my head up.

TR, I don't know if I am ready for the forward grip. I have asked a few friends with mixed reviews. What is the advantage of one?

Sometimes I feel like the old guy that showed up to join the Union forces at Gettysburg with a flintlock loaded with buck and ball.
