There is no manual safety, so while you can carry cocked, it would not really be safe.
I miss that as well, but like the SA/DA much better than the LEM. I suppose that you could thumb cock it, should you wish to.
As most shooters will tell you, a good consistent trigger pull is one of the most important factors for mechanical accuracy.
