It would work better then the Springfield shorty. We were looking at it and considering getting an example. The stock looks to be a screw on ala AI. I would hazard a guess at a machined metal skeleton stock under the outer stock. That would elimnate or decrease the problems that the M21 had. The rail system would allow mounting the UNS PEQ-2/4 and othe goodies. I Would look at it as a possilbe back up to the sniper, or as a hard hitting CQC weapon.
