I read the book vengence some time ago and saw the origional movie starring Steven Bauer (i think that's his name). Now I see the new movie is comming out... My question is.. do SF units develop intel sources outside of the normal military sources (CIA, DIA, NSA etc...) like those guys did in the movie? If they do it often is it better intel and what does the chain of command think?

I do not believe that we will get into a discussion of SF intel collection methods here today.
