Okc

I couldn't remember where we were talking about this before. It should get a new thread anyway. Looks like the FBI may reopen the case.

FBI to review Okla. City bombing inquiry
By John Solomon
The Associated Press

WASHINGTON - The FBI on Friday ordered a formal review of some aspects of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing investigation, reopening the question of whether Timothy McVeigh may have had more accomplices in the worst domestic terrorist attack in U.S. history, The Associated Press has learned.

Reacting to an AP story last week, the FBI ordered agents to determine why some documents did not properly reach the bureau's Oklahoma City task force during the original investigation or get turned over to McVeigh's lawyers before he was executed in 2001, officials said.

The review of evidence and documents also will try to determine whether FBI agents in a separate investigation of white-supremacist bank robbers may have failed to alert the Oklahoma City investigation of a possible link between the robbers and McVeigh.

OKC evidence concealed, documents say
By John Solomon
The Associated Press

WASHINGTON - FBI agents destroyed evidence and failed to share other information that raised the possibility that a gang of white supremacist bank robbers may have assisted Timothy McVeigh during the Oklahoma City bombing, according to documents never introduced at McVeigh's trial.

Both the FBI supervisor who ran the Oklahoma City investigation and the veteran agent who was in command at the bombing scene say the new evidence, detailed in documents obtained by The Associated Press, is serious enough to warrant reopening the inquiry nine years later.

Danny Coulson, the FBI scene commander for the Oklahoma bomb site, agreed.
that the investigation should be re-opened.

Who was saying that it was "thoroughly" investigated?

Gee do you think this might have been easier BEFORE they executed the trigger man?

I see a kind of Warren Commission report coming, since Oswald is dead.

Trivia question: Who is the sole surviving member of the Warren Commission?

Arlen Spector came up with the magic bullet theory, he's still kicking. He was a junior counselor, does that still count?

One of my law school professors was counsel on the commission -- David Slawson. Many of those guys went on to be law school professors.
