A plug for GREAT customer service

At the absolute insistance of TR, as well as he threatened me if I went with Team Sergeants recommendations, I bought a para ordnance Tac-Four .45 light double action. First and very important was the supported chamber so I can shoot every ammo through it, and second, always follow a recommendation by someone that 'lived by the gun'.
So the 1st 400 rounds went off fine except the last round of every mag would not feed correctly; it happened on every mag!. I emailed para and they asked 4 very particular questions followed by send us the gun and all of your mags. So UPS gets it there and 48 hrs later it's back and the next 400 rounds are perfect... no misfeeds.
The invoice is specifiic on what they did, they replaced all mag springs 'just in case', did some 'customizing' of the ramp and some other piece and said that should do the trick and if not, send it back. No need to send it back, it's flawless.
The HK I had kept having light strikes on primers so it had gone back 2 times and still the same problem existed, that one got sold. I have shot with the Team Sergeant and his HKs are tuned and perfect and since working for the company as an adjunct instructor and working with the guys that use/fix their guns I know they have a quality item but for my money, TR was right on target.
The customer service was outstanding, I have never had such a fast turn around and the work was great as well as fixing the problem.
If you are in the market for a new .45, go with para. The light double action and massive extractor make for an excellent gun.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Para. I rarely see anyone say anything about them, be it good or bad. Glad to see you were treated rather well with functionality upon its return and great customer service.

Being an HK owner, what kind of tuning has the Team Sergeant done to his HK's? I'd love to know, I now feel as if I'm missing out on something better on an already great weapon.

Guess I'll PM the guru for his wisdom. :D

Just so the whole world knows, I've never "tuned" any HK that I own. Out of the box, cleaned, shot and recleaned. Not one HK I've owned or currently own has ever failed or been to a gun smith. The only thing I've ever done to them is adjust my rear sights on the Expert.

I think what SS actually means is that my HK's are well taken care of, nothing more.

Trust me when I say I can take most off the shelf guns, factory ammo from Wal-Mart and place a bullet hole through a bullet hole.

I don't know how many times I've done the drill with the Army's 92F, military ammo and the gun assigned to someone else.

thanks for the clarification TS, that is exactly what I meant....and furthermore, just being 'in tune' with shooting and your weapon is what makes for a successful shot.
That's the fun of watching the GRAND MASTER (TS), he is tuned into his weapons and every part of the art and skill of shooting.
