SECWAR calling in the Stars for a "talk"

LINKY THING

Other than the broad announcement to around 600 to 800 U.S. Generals and flag officers from around the world, no one is exactly sure why Secretary Pete Hegseth has requested they come to the U.S for a meeting.

According to reports from CNN and various news outlets, Secretary of the War Department, Pete Hegseth has sent a notice for all of them to travel back to the U.S. for a meeting in Virginia at the War Department’s Quantico facility.
I have heard, given his eloquence in past threads, that our very own Box will be preparing the slide deck for Secretary Hegseth. Perhaps it would be instructive to get an idea of what such 'bullet points' might look like. [Reports that attendees will be required to wear shock collars cannot be substantiated.]

Clearly, the Secretary of War has summoned all the flag officers because he’s finally cracked the code on the most pressing military issue of our time:

Who keeps leaving the coffee pot on ??

Or maybe he’s just tired of reading memos and wants to see if everyone can still fit into their dress uniforms. Let’s be honest, though...
...this is probably just a clever ploy to remind everyone who’s really in charge.

Nothing says 'power move' like making a room full of admirals and generals sit through a PowerPoint presentation titled 'Why We Can’t Have Nice Things."

Or, it could be something a little more serious.
Who can tell these days.

M Training

I heard it's to ensure they all get caught up on their yearly on-line training courses

Quantico has ranges, PT fields and a land-nav course, right? I can see some fun possibilities.

Be still my beating heart.

Quantico?

Maybe he will require them all to do 1 pull-up.

Being as Tuesday is 30 Sep, maybe he'll advise them that their return travel (and continued value) isn't funded.

glebo 09-28-2025 04:39

Hmm, maybe it's gonna be a new yearly PT test and weigh in?? Naahhh. Checking with online annual training compliance??...naahh again..
But holy cow, the TDY for this trip will be nuts.
They should stand up ol 126th finance again (in the old brick bldg on Ardennes) to have them go through that nutroll when filling out their travel.
Yeah, I know it's all done online now...that in itself is a major PIA...

Station One should be Height Weight compliance, followed by urinalysis.

SMA Tilley did that when he had all of the GO CSM's at his conference in El Paso / Ft. Bliss.... show up in pt uniform and a surprise weigh in etc. There were some sweating dudes in line.

I liked/respected him a great deal in that position ... he never lost his sense of humor nor himself, if you know what I mean...

He walked down the line and tapped a few of us on the soldier and said 'You guys can go home...see you at the conference room' I liked that.

Sounds like he’s bringing back the military that I once knew….

Got tin foil?

IMO, the room was wired with sensors to collect data that will be run through a "with us or against us" algorithm at the public's expense.

Some GOs and SNCOs are going to get designated for being pushed out the service. Among those will be a few who had a bad breakfast burrito and/or jet lag.

^^^^^^^^ your photo, actually brought back a memory… I was in a Division change of command ceremony for the Third I.D. (several hundred years ago )… when we passed in review I was somewhat surprised at how many “Stars” were in attendance. It would be something to behold that much brass in one location.

Since it's the Comedy Zone...

The "Rate My Rack" reactions today would have been something to see.
