PS Knife Scales?
5 Attachment(s)
Has anyone put scales on the PS kife?
While reading one of the knife fora, I found a thread where a couple guys have tried. These are personal efforts not commercial. I like the wood, but not the covered thong holes. I like the micarta scalloped ones for the area they cover and the grip surface. Having my PS with the same scales as my Yarborough would look nice. :lifter Also found a fellow that put stag scales on his. https://www.*******.com/watch?v=nF_IEZy7w7U |

I masked out the handle from the Yarborough, copied and overlaid it on the PS knife, then sized it down to fit. Not my best work.. What startled me and is apparent now that I tried the overlay, is that the PS is close to being a mini-Yarborough in shape. The upper tang/hilt is not as pronounced, but the contour of the lower tang/hilt is very close, as is the blade profile. |
Man, I thought you made a real handle. :(
Put one on and I think a person would need a new sheath. |
