Illuminated Scope Question.

I am building a SPR (223 Wylde 18" Douglass) and am looking at optics.

I have narrowed it to:

Mark 4 2.5-8x36mm MR/T M2 Illum. Reticle 36.00mm

Is there anyone with hands on Pro's and Con's about this scope?

Any alternate scopes that you would recommend?

Thanks
Mike

My son has a 2.5-10X on his Rem700 in .223. Works fine... Just remember to turn off the illum when you use it.

That was the optic selected for the issued SPR, so it is good for what it is. It is a decent medium range optic. Leupold's illumination battery life leaves a lot to be desired though.

What do you plan to use your SPR for?
