I'd be curious to know what you pros think about this device.

Gimmick: Not on my weapons,, Looks like a perfect way to brake fingers and miss targets..

I think it's a great concept. Anything that does not detract from the pistol, but has the potential to enhance safety is a good thing. People will put all kinds of crap on their gun to make it shoot faster and more accurate, but seldom consider safety.

You mean yet another glock enhancement because of piss poor weapons engineering?

Pure crap, but then again so is the glock........ :munchin

Rumor is that in the future it could be available for other striker fired pistols. When you don't have a choice of pistols, then it's just another tool. :D

I was issued a Glock for 5 years and ended up being pleasantly surprised with it. Of course the M9, that I was issued didn't exactly fall into the "superior" category either.

I understand. While in the war zone I ran around with my M9 off safe. Absolutely f**king retarded to purchase a weapon with a safety opposite of what we're used to handling.

We have some real assholes in the military and government and after the M9 purchase I'm sure both were paid very well.

I've no doubts glock does the same thing, buys shooters to sing the glocks praises.

IMO in this day and age, if it's not a DA, with a safety it's a full retard purchase.

From a Glock safety standpoint, is there an advantage to the thumb push approach the Gadget SCD uses versus adding an aftermarket manual safety similar to this one? Glock Manual Safety (no relationship to the seller).

Cost and it's a "drop-in" part.
