Had some fun with this yesterday. Took the GF's grandson shooting. This was my first "real" gun at 8 yrs old. Winchester 72A .22 single shot. I forgot how accurate this little gem is.

Congrats, out with the kids is a great way to spend your time..

My grand father started my brother & I on one,, I think his was a Win M60 single shot. It was very accurate, bagged a bunch of squirrel, rabbits, & the occasional pheasant.. :D

Looks like you took pretty good care of that little rifle. Nice way to spend quality time with the young ones too.

I wanted a simple bolt action .22 awhile back so I bought a Marlin 925 and really like it.

The only thing wrong with your scenario - girlfriends aren't supposed to be old enough to have grandsons! :p

Good for you! We still have the .22lr that my dad gave me when I was 5. His dad gave it to him when he was a kid back in the 1920's. I gave it to my son and his girls will shoot it when they are old enough...
