In the "You've got to be kidding" news of the day........

"Iraq has asked the United States for new help to fight extremists in the country less than two years after it forced American troops to withdraw.

The request follows a resurgence of violence across Iraq and a renewed threat from al Qaeda extremists.

The White House has largely turned its attention away from Iraq since US forces left in 2011.

But the country has recently been hit with deadly bombings at a rate reminiscent of Iraq's darkest days, stoking new fears of a civil war............."

And a big 4Q2 to them.

Again, we stay neutral, arm both sides with tons of weapons and ammo and stay home and watch it all go down on TV while drinking a beer and doing BBQ. ;)

But all the exspurts said it was our presence there that was causing the violence. If we just left it would return to the paradise that is was previously. Joe Biden and John Kerry were beating that drum if memory serves......

They have lots of sand to pound. Sounds like they need to get to it.:munchin

They want another blank checkbook to feather their nests.

So, western Iran (Iraq) wants our help with their Sunni problem? I agree, arm them all and let the chips fall as they will.

I wonder how many former Libyan weapons shipped off to Syrian rebels, are now in Iraqi Sunni or AQI hands?
