Dual Sight systems on a Rifle

Check out This place.

I know, I know It's an IPSC race gun, But Could these ideas about dual sighting systems on a rifle have any military applications? Optics for longer range engagements plus the irons mounted at 1'clock for up close targets.

Guy, this is what I was telling you about last night.

On the optic side as backups, the Tasco Optima 2000 or Docter sight fitted to Trijicon ACOG sights has seen some use if im not mistaken.

In my opinion, one shouldnt overthink or hang up too much crap on the weapon but rather use the available space on the weapon with more useful accessories, if needed.
