USM4 AR lower legit question....

I know I have seen a question about this before, but I can't find it when I search.

The following link is to a store near me that sells AR lowers with the SF logo, and claims that it is endorsed by the SF community. It further states that proceeds will go towards "Special Forces Veterans Service Organizations".

http://www.usautoweapons.com/usm4/

I'm going to buy a couple more lowers and wanted to make sure these were legit prior to purchase. The huge red flag I'm having is that I have heard nothing of this company and the receiver is stamped US Autoweapons (The retail store selling them) directly below the hammer.

Any info appreciated. I would love a few dollars of my money to go to a good cause, but would hate to see it scammed.

Thanks,

Mike

Legit (the Special Forces Association does receive compensation for it's endorsement ), but... IMO they use questionable advertising. AFAIK there is no "US Special Forces Foundation" which they claim ...

"Every USM4 Special Forces lower receiver is 100% made in the USA, completely Mil-Spec, and fully endorsed by US Special Forces Foundation."

So can anyone confirm who this is?

SBGI Foundation Certified

"SBGI Foundation, Inc., a 501c(3) non-profit founded by a career Special Forces Officer, is proud to certify that a financial contribution is donated to Special Forces Veterans Service Organizations with the purchase of each of these high-quality, American made mil-spec firearms and components provided by US Autoweapons, LLC."

I'm not trying to out anyone, just trying to verify that the extra profits will go where they say.

Thanks again,

Mike

The Special Forces Association (SFA) receives money from the sales. It's The SFA's logo on the lower.

Does anyone have any experience with these lowers?

I'm interested.. :munchin

My father just showed me a link to these lowers from a local gun show here in Indianapolis.

My spider senses started tingling so I started trying to research. I couldn't find any names to support the "former SF officer" claim. Moreover, I noticed they have a header from the Green Beret Foundation, whom I have a personal interest with.

Anyone else have any knoweldge or experience of the percentage of profit from sales that go to these charities?

The signatures on the certificate are the immediate past and current SFA Presidents. I don't have the percentage, but have verified it is going to the correct accounts in the SFA..

The word I got was the current barry anti-gun craze has striped all inventory,, from everyone..

I need another AR like I need another hammer, but my LGS just called me as they have one in stock, $499. PM me and I'll point you in their direction.

mdpatterson 11-29-2013 03:03

These are $199.95 today...

Same item I asked about to start this thread. Their Black Friday sale has the OD version for $199.95. I don't need any, but I picked up two anyway for potential future builds. Not a bad price for a well built complete lower.

Link?

I went to their site to see if the Black Friday option was still available but had no luck. Can you link the advertisement?

mdpatterson 11-30-2013 19:05

Link was gone by the time I saw this....

I went two days early and they honored the "Friday Only" deal on Wednesday. I would just give them a call and see if they will still honor it. They had quite a few and the fact that you are actually SF should seal the deal.

Sorry I didn't post the link prior, but it was contained in an e-mail and I was in a rush.

Contacted the company after seeing that a discount is offered for all Special Forces personnel:

"The discount offered for SF Members is $100 off the retail price. The cost
would be $295.95 for the black, $319.95 for the OD Green or Tan colors or
$329.95 for the NP3 finish.

As a former Special Forces member you will need to call *name deleted*,
Administrative Director, Special Forces Association. He will provide the
order form link & code to use for the discount. (deleted the name and contact info but if you contact USM4 they will provide it for you: sales@usm4.com)

The form you will fill out will come back directly to me and I will make
sure it gets to our on-line process. SF members will also get first
priority on the various lowers if a certain color is not available at the
time you send the form in.

If there are some in stock and you decide to purchase one, you will have to
have an FFL dealer receive the item since it is a firearm, so you may want
to contact one to make prior arrangements because US Autoweapons will need
to have a copy of the dealers FFL before shipping it out."

The only question I have is: does anyone have experience with these lowers / their select fire mode 3 triggers?
