A Green Beret from O'Hara, PA, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan committed suicide in Fayetteville, N.C., inside his residence near Ft. Bragg, police there said today.

Maj. Benjamin Follansbee was found dead Monday about 4:30 p.m., Fayetteville Police Department spokesman Gavin MacRoberts said.

Someone from Ft. Bragg called police asking for officers to check on Maj. Follansbee when he did not show up for work. Officers found his body when they checked his apartment on Sawtooth Drive.
